New York Wedding Photography: Johanna & Matthew

As a Tahoe wedding photographer, I consider myself lucky to live in one of the most beautiful places on Earth. But a destination wedding like this that reminds me that amazing weddings can, and do, happen anywhere.

Johanna and Matthew were married at the Stone Tavern Farm in Roxbury, upstate New York. Their ceremony and reception were exactly the kind of wedding celebration I love to photograph. The Catskill Mountains set an incredibly lush, green backdrop for the ceremony.  Combining wedding rites from Eastern and Western religious traditions, Johanna and Matthew created a special event that truly spoke to their personalities.

The reception site was given the make-over of its life. The Stone Tavern’s classic 12,ooo square foot barn was transformed into an incredible party venue. With wedding guests arriving from as far away as California, Johanna and Matthew were surrounded by their closest friends and family, all ready to get down.

Johanna and Matthew, many heartfelt thanks to you and your families for your hospitality. What an amazing celebration- congratulations!
