Colorado Engagement Photos
Mountain light never ceases to amaze me. The same goes for mountain weather. Let the story of these Colorado engagement photos serve as an illustration.
Tiffany and Rocky’s Rocky Mountain wedding is next August. Though I’m based in California and primarily focus on Lake Tahoe and California wedding photography, travel is a regular part of the job. In the days leading up to Tiffany and Rocky’s engagement session, I checked out the local forecast. It didn’t look good: “Cloudy with a serious chance of snowballs.”
It seemed the golden days of Fall slipped by. We decided to reschedule. And it’s a good thing we did. It rained. It snowed. The wind blew. The air whistled and rumbled. When I saw yet another flash of light in the distance, I poured myself a second hot mug of Earl Grey tea.
Fortunately, we were able to reschedule for just a few days later. But you’d never know it by the images that came out of this shoot. After the Autumn storm blew through, the temperatures rose, icicles melted and the aspen leaves burned again with the same brilliant glow of October.
Totally excited about their wedding photography (and each other), Tiffany and Rocky were in their element right from the start. Here are a few images from our afternoon together.
