The Cedar House Sport Hotel offers an intimate Lake Tahoe wedding experience right in Truckee. Owing to its smaller footprint, this venue accommodates events of 60 to 120. Cedar House Sport Hotel weddings are well-suited for small to medium-sized celebrations. Because of the property floorplan, however, the venue feels much larger. In fact, the “European-inspired boutique property” creates an incredibly unique setting that feels a world away from downtown Truckee.
Owners Jeff and Patty Baird integrated an environmentally conscious ethos (LEED Certified construction) into the building of this unique wedding venue. In addition to meeting progressive building standards, the owners encourage their guests to savor the mountain air and seek out adventure. And of course, indulge in the fine dining at the on-site Stella restaurant.
If you book a wedding at the Cedar House Sport Hotel, you will receive on-site planning assistance. Many couples host the entire wedding celebration at the hotel. In contrast, many families arrange a wedding ceremony at a separate location and a reception at the Cedar House Sport Hotel. For example, you might have a ceremony at the west end of Donner Lake. After the outdoor ceremony, everyone would transition back to this venue for the reception. As long as you have time in your timeline, you can even schedule photos somewhere scenic and picturesque like Old Highway 40.
This is an ideal venue for active and adventurous couples. Especially those seeking an ambiance completely different from other Lake Tahoe wedding venues.
