Since I skied here as a kid, Northstar renovated its entire mountain village. They added new shops, photography galleries, jewelry boutiques, restaurants and a 9,000 square-foot ice skating rink. In particular, they added the Zephyr Lodge. This lodge is at the very top of the resort. Northstar weddings at the Zephyr Lodge have some of the best views in Truckee. And you even get to ride a gondola and a chairlift to get there.
As Tahoe wedding venues go, Northstar offers a good variety of options. You can choose between three main sites. First there is the Overlook Pavilion. Second, the Lodge at Big Springs. Last, you have the Martis Valley Grille. The Overlook and Lodge at Big Springs wedding sites offer space for up to 150 wedding guests. The Martis Valley Grille wedding site accommodates up to 75. With complimentary parking, complimentary transportation and discounted room rates for all your wedding guests, Northstar at Tahoe offers a pretty good deal. A professional wedding planner is included in all wedding bookings, and wedding rehearsal time is included as well.
Most brides and grooms will spend their whole weekend at Northstar. Whether you rent a house in a nearby Northstar neighborhood or stay in a condo in the village, you won’t be far from Northstar’s amenities. The highlight of Northstar weddings is certainly the new Zephyr Lodge. Although there are more logistics involved in getting your guests to the venue, they will all enjoy the ride to the top. Not to mention the amazing sunsets from this wedding site!
