PlumpJack Squaw Wedding
Inflatable air guitars. Viking helmets. Hot dog hats. When it comes to partying like rockstars, many of us would do well to follow Bria and Jason. This PlumpJack Squaw Wedding was one of the best parties of the summer. If I had the chance to do it all over again, I would.
Bria and Jason currently live in San Francisco. But they spend a lot of time in the mountains. Naturally, a Lake Tahoe wedding made perfect sense. To honor both of their families’ traditions, a multi-faith ceremony also made sense. Reverend Keith Hohly and Rabbi Mikki Bourne teamed up and created a wonderful ceremony. Ultimately, they wanted to celebrate the spiritual aspects of both. So they featured rites from both.
A celebration like this doesn’t happen on its own. Many thanks to Tory Wilson at Summit Soiree for her planning and vision. Lake Tahoe florist Julie Matises raised the bar yet again. Her bouquets, boutonnieres and floral arrangements were amazing. As for the reception, it wouldn’t have been such a party animal without the band Jumpstart.
Bria and Jason, your wedding was simply amazing. Thank you for your warmth. And for your requirement that “FUN” always be at the top of the to-do list!

Although he lives in Truckee, Chris Werner travels. In that sense, he is also a Mammoth Lakes photographer. He shoots in Colorado, too. Check out this outdoor mountain wedding in the Rockies, as well as this Aspen Snowmass Wedding.
