Ritz-Carlton Highlands Weddings

If you are looking for a premier luxury resort for your Lake Tahoe Wedding, this venue may be the one for you. The Ritz-Carlton Highlands Resort sits mid-mountain at Lake Tahoe’s Northstar Resort and features a variety of ceremony sites. During the winter you can bring your skis and take some laps during your wedding weekend. In the summer months the venue enjoys a peaceful setting surrounded by quiet forest. And the lake is just over the hill on the other side of Brockway Summit. Ritz-Carlton Highlands weddings give you top-notch service coupled with a convenient year-round location.

During warm weather, the “Meadows” is a popular ceremony location for up to 300 wedding guests. This site is on a hill above the main rear courtyard area. It is available for both late morning and early evening wedding ceremonies. For a more intimate wedding site, consider the “Woods” wedding site. Pine trees flank this lush grassy area. Owing to its limited size, it is appropriate for up to 120 guests. The “Fireside Terrace” is an intimate patio area adjacent to a large outdoor fireplace. This site is best for 100 guests or less. If you are planning a winter wedding, the “Pines Ballroom” will likely be your best choice. Unless of course the skies are clear. In that case, the hotel can provide an outdoor setup with plenty of warm blankets for your ceremony.

Unless you reserve a wedding tent, your reception will most likely be inside one of the many ballrooms. A close proximity to the kitchen facilitates efficient and speedy service. And you won’t have to worry about any rain clouds moving in.

Tips for Ritz-Carlton Highlands Weddings

There are numerous locations at this venue for creative and artistic wedding photos. A local Tahoe photographer will know where to go for both posed family photos, in addition to photos of the bride and groom. The first thing to remember is that adequate time is a prerequisite to great photos. Set aside some extra time to work with your photographer on your wedding day. Especially if you want some unique and creative images of just you two.
