Allison and Matthew’s beautiful Napa Valley wedding was spread over two weekends. Guests and relatives traveled from around the world to be a part of the celebration. Usually, as the size of your celebration increases, your chances of truly connecting with all of your guests goes down. This wedding was an especially good reminder that it doesn’t have to be that way.
After every conversation I had with Allison about her wedding, one thing was clear. They wanted to be sure they could spend time with each and every guest. In the same way they wanted to welcome, acknowledge, and honor everyone individually. With this intention, Allison and Matthew planned not just one wedding event, but two. First they hosted an incredible ceremony and reception at the Viansa Winery in Napa Valley. Then a second reception took place the following weekend in the Bay Area. Friends and relatives that were not able to attend the ceremony in the wine country participated in the much-anticipated sequel just 6 days later.
If Allison and Matthew’s relationship was the focus of the party, Allison’s relationship with her mother was a highlight well worth noting. I was deeply moved by the powerful bond Allison shares with her mom. Surely there was no one present who cheered for Allison louder. It is also worth noting that Allison’s mother can give anyone a run for their money on the dance floor. In the words of LMFAO, this woman knows how to “wiggle, wiggle, wiggle, wiggle, wiggle, YEAH!”
