Palisades Tahoe is a mountain lover’s paradise
If you’re already a fan of Palisades Tahoe, tying the knot here is a logical choice. Many couples who choose me as their Palisades Tahoe wedding photographer already love to ski or snowboard at this famous resort. However, even for newcomers, the storied history and legendary reputation of Olympic Valley make it a world-class destination to start your married life together.Â
From the Upper Deck at High Camp, you and your wedding guests can see the crystal-clear waters of Lake Tahoe in the distance. On the right, KT-22, a peak and chairlift sharing the same name, stands proudly. The terrain below is arguably some of the best skiing in North America. Turn to your left and you can see the Sierra Nevada crest stretching north towards Granite Chief, Silver Peak, and Tinker Knob.Â
The Upper Deck is a breath-taking ceremony location, and most couples host their cocktail hour here as well. Step inside the Terrace Room for your reception, and the huge windows boast the same views. As a child, I loved riding the aerial tram and skiing the upper mountain bowls. To this day, camera in hand, I still feel that same exhilaration as the tram ascends the cliff face en route to High Camp.Â
The Garden at Olympic Village Event Center serves as a serene and lush outdoor wedding venue nestled at the base of the tram face. As your guests hear your heartfelt vows, they’ll marvel at the majestic cliffs behind you, perhaps even catching a glimpse of the tram high above. The verdant pine and aspen trees create a beautiful backdrop for wedding photos at this location.
