Tahoe Mountain Club is your modern mountain getaway
The Timbers at Old Greenwood is a newly renovated wedding venue in Truckee, formerly known as Old Greenwood House. This is Tahoe Mountain Club’s premier event and wedding venue, for up to 200 guests. Whether you’re a golfer, a skier, or simply enjoy spending time outdoors, The Timbers could be the perfect place to host your next event.
As a professional wedding photographer, I am excited about the new outdoor ceremony site at The Timbers. It offers views of Northstar ski resort, the sagebrush-dotted meadows of Martis Valley, and the towering pine trees that line the Old Greenwood golf course. This is a beautiful, natural backdrop for ceremony and reception photos. Open the retractible glass walls and you have instant access to a customizable indoor space. The open floor plan allows you to create a celebration that fits you and your wedding party.
If you are planning a smaller event like a welcome party or rehearsal dinner, be sure to check out Alpine Club and PJ’s. Alpine Club is a cozy mountainside restaurant in the Village at Northstar Resort. Over at the Gray’s Crossing golf course, PJ’s is a modern restaurant that blends indoor and outdoor dining with an outdoor patio and lawn. The food at PJ’s is delicious, and it’s one of the best places in Truckee to watch a sunset.
Exclusively reserved for Tahoe Mountain Club members, Schaffer’s Camp is their fourth event space. Schaffer’s Camp is at the top of Northstar, one of the ski resorts where I grew up skiing. If you are dreaming of a mountain top wedding in Tahoe, this could be it!
