There is something special about the first few days of June. Spring rain showers are behind us. The first big holiday weekend of the summer (Memorial Day) has come and gone. The days are longer and it feels like summer is officially here. I loved Jessica and Brendon’s Lake Tahoe Edgewood wedding for their commitment to the “Fundamental Four of Lake Tahoe Weddings.” Namely Family, Friends, Love, and Party! Did I just make up that name? Yes. Are those actually four of Jessica and Brendon’s stated wedding priorities? Yes.

Some of my favorite photos from this day are of Jessica’s mom, Jane, helping her with her wedding dress. Not to mention her dad Michael’s reaction during their “father-daughter” first look. My favorites also include his obvious joy walking with her to the ceremony. And their dance at the beginning of the reception. Their niece Callie was in awe of Jessica the entire day. As you can see in the photos of Jessica getting ready, Callie kept a close eye on the process the entire time. As a Lake Tahoe wedding venue, the Edgewood is popular for its close incredible proximity to the water. By the afternoon, mountain thermals often make for breezy wedding ceremonies at the North Lawn. Jessica knew it might be a windy wedding. But she kept laughing throughout the ceremony.

Getting Married at Edgewood Lake Tahoe

Edgewood Tahoe is one of the larger Lake Tahoe wedding venues. Whether you stay at The Lodge or not, this is definitely one of the most popular places to get married in Lake Tahoe. There are multiple ceremony locations to choose from. And more than one place for a reception. It all depends on the size of your wedding, budget, and which of the different options you like best. Jessica and Brendon’s ceremony was on the North Lawn. This site is immediately next to the water on one side (see photo below), and the golf course’s putting green, on the other. The North Room is the traditional reception location for weddings on the North Lawn.

No matter which locations you choose for your ceremony and reception, make sure you save some time to go outside for photos at sunset. Due to the venue’s location on the lake, the light here can be phenomenal both before and after the sun goes down. Check out the photos below to see examples of sunset wedding photos at Edgewood Lake Tahoe.

If you are planning a wedding at one of the many Lake Tahoe wedding venues, feel free to get in touch. I have been a Lake Tahoe wedding photographer for the past 10 years. I know the local venues well and can recommend some options that might be a great fit for your big day.
