Ritz-Carlton is Lake Tahoe’s all-inclusive luxury wedding venue
One of the best things about getting married at the Ritz-Carlton, Lake Tahoe is the choice of three beautiful outdoor ceremony venues. The Meadows is the largest outdoor ceremony space, with capacity for up to 400 guests. It has panoramic mountain views, including the modern chairlifts and wide ski slopes of Northstar Resort. Of the three ceremony sites, The Meadows is the farthest from the hotel.Â
The Woods offers a forest setting amidst a peaceful stand of pine trees. It is perfect for anyone who loves the trees of Lake Tahoe, and has capacity for up to 200 guests. During the afternoon, the filtered sun rays backlight the couple as they exchange vows. As a professional photographer, I appreciate the orientation of this site and the beautiful light that falls on the couple during the ceremony.
Nearby is the Fireside Terrace, a 2,000 square foot patio with a seven foot gas fire feature. It has space for up to 180 guests, and is well-suited for intimate weddings or cocktail hour gatherings.Â
If the weather takes an unexpected turn, there is also a well-appointed ballroom to make sure everyone stays warm. That being said, the Ritz-Carlton staff will do everything they can to support your dream of an outdoor wedding. I once photographed an outdoor ceremony at the Ritz during a snowstorm. The resort staff quickly distributed blankets, hot chocolate, and umbrellas. Everyone stayed warm and dry, and wedding guests shared stories about the gorgeous snowy wedding for the rest of the weekend.
For its picturesque mountain setting and beautiful ceremony venues, the Ritz-Carlton is one of my favorite mountain resort wedding venues in Lake Tahoe. At the end of the day, I always feel like I have been treated like a guest at the Ritz-Carlton. This is a testament to their impeccable service, and it is one of the reasons why I love working here.
