It’s always fun to photograph the wedding of a couple that I already know. But Caitlin and Rob’s Fjeldheim Mountain Home wedding was hardly special for that reason alone. In fact, their big day had so many awesome moments. Especially once everyone got on the dance floor!
Caitlin and Rob planned the logistics of their big day around Fjeldheim. Fjeldheim is a private home, uniquely set up to accommodate small weddings. The property sits high above the shores of the lake. Owing to its elevation, it boasts incredible views of Tahoe and the surrounding peaks. In other words, you can see all the way across Lake Tahoe and beyond. If there is a gorgeous sunset, this is surely one of the best places to enjoy the show.
They crafted and executed every detail of this wedding beautifully. Caitlin and Rob envisioned a day which reflected their own colorful style. In order to pull it off, a loving village of family and friends helped bring it all to life. Extra kudos to Melissa Weir and Blue Sky Events for helping turn their dream into a reality. I particularly loved their Converse wedding reception shoes. So as to personalize the shoes, everyone signed the white canvas shoes with permanent markers.
Truckee’s Red Truck Catering drove all the way to South Lake for this Fjeldheim Mountain Home Wedding. They prepared their famous spicy naan-wiches and zesty burritos bowls while each table lined up outside. After dinner, the eight person band Pop Fiction (they drove all the way from the Bay Area) delivered a truly rockin’ performance.
To Caitlin, Rob, and your supporting cast of friends and family, I say, “Bravo!”
