Lake Tahoe’s West Shore Cafe is one of the few places where you can, quite literally, get married on the lake. While Michelle and Lee said their vows at the end of the pier, the view was stunning. Blue Sierra skies, and Tahoe’s crystal clear water surrounded us. In the distance, you could see the snow-capped mountains of South Lake Tahoe. This Lake Tahoe West Shore Cafe wedding was the truly the epitome of Tahoe beauty.
Although they live in the Bay Area, Michelle and Lee spend as much time in Tahoe as they can. To say they don’t shy away from outdoor adventures would be an understatement. Last winter we met in person to talk about their wedding plans. By the time we got to current activities they casually mentioned they were camping out in a tent in their backyard. At first I thought this might just be another brief urban glamping escapade. Then I found out that they were out of the house due to a fairly extensive DIY remodel. Yes, you read that correctly. Surely they considered other options. But they chose instead to cozy up in sleeping bags under the stars for an undetermined amount of time. In any event, it was granite countertops and kitchen cabinets by day. And Thermarests and crickets by night. My kind of couple!
Spring came to Tahoe early this year and it was a sunny, gorgeous day to be right on the water. Congratulations Michelle and Lee!
