Amanda and John’s Graeagle wedding was at the idyllic 20 Mile House. Listed as “Northern California’s Premier Eco-Estate Wedding Venue”, the 20 Mile House is definitely one of my favorite Graeagle wedding venues. Although the location is easy enough to find, the venue retains a very secluded feel. Whereas some Graeagle wedding venues are right on the main road, 20 Mile House takes you down a quiet road to a peaceful river setting.
In order to photograph wedding party and family members, Amanda and John met one another before the ceremony. In fact, more and more brides and grooms are doing this than ever before. Especially if the list of “traditional” family photos is long. The beach where where they did their “first look” is a serene setting right on the river. And it was a perfect location for them to calm their nerves before heading to the ceremony.
To be sure, it is not often you see a kilt in California. But Amanda’s dad and his family are from Scotland, so there were kilts aplenty! This was an especially fun twist to an awesome wedding day in Graeagle with Amanda and John!
