Tenille and Adam are each about as serious as it gets when it comes to mountain biking. Tenille raced competitively in college. Adam has been getting after single track in Truckee long enough to know all the really good trails by name. Because they live here in Tahoe, they are familiar with most of the local wedding locations. With that in mind their choice of a West Shore Cafe wedding is a solid vote in favor of this venue.
When they first started dating, it was clear that this was a match with serious potential. Lake Tahoe’s community of outdoor enthusiasts is a special, albeit small, group of people. When they finally started to hang out with each others’ friends, they realized that many of their friends were in fact the same people. As they say, it’s a small world. But this is especially true in mountain community. Before they had ever met these guys were already just a degree of separation from one another. Once they finally crossed paths, the rest was history.
From the deck of the West Shore Cafe, you can’t get much closer to the lake without actually being in it. Clearly that wasn’t close enough for Tenille and Adam. Once the ceremony was over they grabbed a couple paddles and hopped into their canoe. Paddling alongside the pier, they managed a quick victory lap as their friends cheered them on.
